Finger Jointed Pine Baseboard
Inconsistent profiles, high moisture and uneven primer can lead to installation complaints, returned stock and extra touch-up work.
Our premium finger-jointed pine baseboards are crafted from high-grade kiln-dried radiata pine material. Using approved profile designs, the boards are then sander and seal on four surfaces with two layers of environmentally-friendly water-based primer.
This product is available from Vietnam or Malaysia and is a North America flooring distributor-approved alternative to products of Chinese origins. Upon arrival, the product is already suitable for topcoat treatment.

Finger-jointed pine is lighter than most MDF baseboard of a similar size, making long boards easier to handle during unloading and installation. It also provides solid-wood fastening performance when nailed through the face.
The product is intended for dry interiors. Although pine generally tolerates ordinary handling better than MDF edges, prolonged exposure to water or high humidity should still be avoided.
Finger jointing makes better use of shorter, selected pine blocks after knots and other unacceptable defects have been removed. This helps control material cost and can improve straightness over long lengths.
The finished product is paint grade.Finger joints are coated by the system but small finger joins could still be visible in the light or moistureconditions. Sample is approved to determine the level of a finish on mass production.
Matching an Existing Baseboard ProfileIs it the case that you already carry on a profile which we can reproduce? Send us one of the following:Dimensioned PDF or DXFFile with clear cross sectionsPhysical sample of your present stock. We will examine the dimensions and decide if the knife set we have is good to go or not.
If it is necessary to get new tooling, the price is given right before a development of a product starts.
We make a counter-sample so they can take a look at it and give approval first before mass production.
Drawing and sample which have been approved is the reference for our production process since the same name used for a WM profile can result in a slightly different dimension when it is made by different suppliers.
Please be aware, drawings with dimensions of WM-style profiles that are often produced in small scale are available upon request.
PROFILE MATCHING
We match existing profiles. Send a drawing (PDF/DXF) or a physical sample of the baseboard you currently stock - we confirm knife tooling and send a counter sample before production. Standard WM profile catalog with dimensioned drawings available on request.
