For distributors, small production differences can become costly once the boards reach the jobsite. A noticeable color change between shipments, visible finger joints or an inconsistent profile may lead to installer complaints, additional touch-up work and returned material.
We make our finger-jointed radiata pine baseboard against an approved profile drawing.
The boards are then painted with white paint after coating them with gesso.
We also check the moisture content, as well as the profile size. After that, we make an inspection to evaluate the color and shine of the boards, and also any defects on their surface.Apart from the usual WM baseboards profiles, the package is inclusive of custom ones for certain customers.
Besides, it allows distributors to mix different baseboard profiles in a single box, which makes it rather straightforward to place refills for all kinds of products altogether with a single delivery. We work primarily with those kinds of clients who are suppliers of floor coverings, traders of lumber and building materials at wholesale levels.

The baseboard gets a brushed gesso primer coat to provide the necessary sanding and preparation of the finger-jointed pine surface for the final finish.After getting factory-finished white color and the gloss level that is then applied using the color and surface sample that have been approved.
Standard white color range:
RAL 9010 — Pure White
RAL 9016 — Traffic White
Standard finish's sheen is measured, roughly around 20-degree GU at a 60° angle.If needed, custom colors and gloss levels can be assessed using an approved physical sample to determine their suitability.
The finished boards undergo a series of inspections for:
Color uniformity;
Gloss consistency;
Surface appearance;
Joints in finger appearance;
Paint coverage;
Sanding marks;
Scratches and handling damage;
Dirt or contamination of the surface.
The product will be supplied ready for interior installation.Field cuts, nail holes, joints and installation marks may require matching touch-up paint.

Changes in profile dimensions, moisture or finish can make different shipments difficult to sell under the same product code.
Production is based on an approved profile drawing and finish sample. The target moisture content is 10% ±2%, while the standard profile tolerance is ±1/32". A tighter ±1/64" option is available for selected programs after technical review.
The gesso base coat and white finish coat are applied at the factory. Installers normally only need to fill nail holes and touch up field cuts, joints or installation marks.
A 40HQ can normally carry up to five profiles.The workable combination depends on the dimensions and weight of each piece, as well as how efficiently the bundles can be handled. Please provide your needed SKUs and quantities so that we can do a loading plan before confirming the order. It allows distributors to get a larger choice when they restock different kinds of goods.
We can produce as many as 175 containers per month on this baseboard line(200 containers across all product lines).
Depending on the product mix and factory schedule, capacity might vary, so we reserve a production window for each confirmed PO and provide a shipment plan.

A change in your supplier, or even your product, may affect the profile names, and therefore the sizes are concerned as well. Consequently, at step one, we make the dimensioned cross-section of the drawing for your approval, and after that, we go to the sampling/production stage.
Dimensions are verified through drawings, as are not only the profiles' names.

Radiata pine blanks are dried in a kiln to a standard moisture level of 10% ±2%. The moisture content is assessed before the material is passed onto the machining unit.
Knots, pitch pockets, reaction wood and other unacceptable defects are removed according to the approved paint-grade standard.
Clear pine blocks are finger-profiled, glued and pressed into continuous lengths. Finger-joint test pieces are checked according to the factory’s documented inspection procedure.
The approved knife set and profile drawing are used for production. Profile dimensions are checked at production start and during the production run.
The moulded surface is sanded before the gesso base coat is applied. The gesso helps fill minor surface irregularities and prepares the finger-jointed pine for the final coating.
The coated surface is sanded according to the approved finish requirements.
RAL 9010, RAL 9016 or an approved custom color is applied as the final factory finish. Color, gloss, surface coverage and visible finish defects are checked against the approved reference sample.

What white colors are available?
If you prefer any special design, the custom colors are open to evaluation upon physical sample approval or the reference of color codes. Please note that the colors RAL 9010 and RAL 9016 are standard.
What is the standard gloss level?
Gross Unit (GU) gloss at a 60-degree angle is generally the benchmark for the regular finish, with a target gloss of about 20 GU. Specific buyer programs can get custom gloss levels and they can check them out too.
Can you match an existing profile?
Undoubtedly. Either a size-labeled PDF or DXF drawing, or a physical sample from you, would do.We will make sure the sizes are correct, check the tools needed, and make a model against mass production only.
What is the standard dimensional tolerance?
The standard profile tolerance is ±1/32". A tighter ±1/64" option is available for selected profiles after technical review.
What moisture content do you control?
The target moisture content is 10% ±2% at the time of production. Moisture is checked before machining.
Is it allowed to mix different profiles of different lengths in one container?
Of course. Typically, a 40HQ container can carry as many as 5 profiles provided the sizes, quantities, weights, and space utilization conform to the specifications.
Shall I be given authorization to combine different kinds of profiles in the same container?
Yes. It's permissible transporting up to 10 different profile types in one 40HQ container, provided the sizes, weight, and amounts meet the requirements of the product order. If you let us know the full list of your materials and their quantities, you have asked us to figure it out for you.
What's the lead time? When can we roughly expect shipment?
For the most part, for the profiles and finishing, the time needed for production is about 2 months (45-60 working days) after placing the order. The delivery period may also be extended if custom tooling, special colors, or non-standard packing will be needed. We will supply you with the estimated day on which the goods will be ready after the order has been cleared for production.
Do you supply samples?
Sure thing, if samples are available and at your request, we will send you samples of our current profiles with no cost to you. Sample preparation usually takes about a week.
What is the method for shipping the boards?
Each of the boards is wrapped individually and tied by shrinkable PVC film to the bundles so as to avoid the paint on the products getting damaged during shipment and un/loading. The pallets are boarded with the bundle of materials for easier container access.
Is it possible that you can attach labels and barcodes to single pieces?
Definitely. We are capable of applying your label and your barcode not only on one piece or one package but also on a number of pieces in a group, as you indicate in your instructions. Moreover, we can also do private labelling. Kindly prepare and forward to us the design drawings, artwork, and packing instructions.
Can this style of baseboard be used in areas where there is water, such as bathroom and balconies?
The pine finger joint baseboard suitable for indoor use can only be the dry area's waterproof baseboard if you have a place where there is no water. Putting the products outdoors would not even be considered an option, nor would keeping them in a location after the installation, which has frequent high water supply or humidity.
