When installing baseboard trim on curved walls, hearth bases, and around the base of columns, there will always be problems with on-site sanding, painting, and finishing touches for both builders and owners. In addition to raising the cost of labor and producing dust and fumes, this process creates an uneven layer of paint. Besides, it is really hard to hide the gaps that will have to be filled again and sanded. In most cases, the labor costs for preparing the paint amount to 30-45 minutes per room before the first layer of paint is applied.
Our solution
With our 5.25-inch pre-painted MDF baseboard being 40% lighter than comparable wooden alternatives, and pre-sanded to 180#, with a primer applied to a thickness of at least 25 microns, we save you about 30 minutes per room of sanding and paint preparation time. You won’t have to prepare the surfaces for finishing as the product is pre-primed, whereas its width of 5.25 inches provides plenty of coverage for all the subfloor imperfections and expansion slits without any additional sanding or filling required.

Ready for Installation
Our prefabricated baseboard includes pre-applied primer (at least 25 μm DFT, ISO 2409 Class 1 adhesion) – there is no need for any sanding or additional primer applications; just install it.
MR MDF Core Material
Standard MDF core with a swell of less than 8% (ASTM D1037) within 24 hours. There are two types available for you to select: standard MDF core or moisture-resistant MDF for bathrooms and kitchens.
Dimensions Consistency across Orders

Tools You'll Need:
- Measuring tape
- Miter saw or handsaw
- Level
- Brad nailer (18-gauge) or construction adhesive
- Caulk and paint (for finishing)
1. Measure the length of the wall and indicate cutting spots.
2. Cut the baseboard to the required length with the help of a miter saw for corners.
3. Dry-fit the pieces on the wall.
4. Apply construction glue to the back side of the board or brad nails to attach the board to wall studs.
5. Plug nail holes, fill gaps between corners and along the upper edge with wood filler and/or caulk. Paint touch-ups where necessary.
Time to Install:
- Average-sized room (15m of linear feet): less than 45 minutes with our pre-primed boards (as opposed to 1.5-2 hours with unfinished trim).
