The primed finger-jointed radiata pine baseboard we offer has been made according to approved profile drawings, dried in a kiln at 10% ±2% moisture content, and the entire process of shaping, priming, and packing has been under supervision.There are standard WM profiles, custom profiles and mixed-container systems for flooring distribution centers, lumber yards and construction material wholesalers.

Production Process
Step 1 - Kiln drying. Radiata pine blanks dry to 10% +/-2% moisture content, then rest in conditioned storage until meter readings hold flat.It is in this phase that cheap trim is created if one hurries; thus, we avoid doing such a thing.
Step 2 - Screening: knots, pitch pockets, reaction wood, and other defects are docked or removed from the board; only what comes along the line is the clear stock.
Step 3 - Finger joining: blocks are shaped to a particular cross-section, glued and pressed together to make a continuous piece of wood. When subjected to a bending test, wood breaks on the side of the glued joint rather than right through the glued line.
Step 4 - Moulding. Six lines, knives ground in-house, regrind intervals set by profile type. Thin-edge profiles get shorter cycles.
Step 5 - Sanding and priming. Two coats of water-based primer applied in-line across four sanding/painting lines, then a finish sand. Boards leave ready for topcoat.
Step 6 - Inspection and packing. Graded piece by piece, wrapped in PE film with desiccant, loaded to a pattern, photographed before the doors close.

Our Factory
Our factory was established in 2008, the workshop is 125,200sq ft, having over 200workers with a monthly output of around 175x40HQ containers. There is a new workshop built and the production capacity can even double. The director is good at mill management. Our quality management team conducts in-process inspections at six checkpoints: raw material intake, finger-jointing, moulding, priming, sanding, and final packing.
Non-conformities are measured by each batch, and any measures taken to address non-conformities are documented and made available to customers on demand.

Our Solution
Moisture level in pine is kept between 8% and 12%; there is also an alternative tolerance of ±1/64" for selected shipments. Size, raw material, profiling, priming, and packing tests are performed.

Too Many SKUs Make Inventory Planning Difficult
The Challenge
Different varieties and sizes of profiles may be required by wholesalers; however, if the orders are placed separately, it would cause stock accumulation and wastage of money.
Our Solution
A total of five different profile varieties can be accommodated in one 40HQ box, subject to loading requirements. The lengths of these profiles are 8’, 12’, and 16’.

Either we can copy an existing baseboard profile or create a profile based on your drawing.

Yes. The product receives two coats of water-based primer and factory sanding. Minor touch-up may be needed at cuts, joints or installation marks before the finish coat is applied.
Yes. Up to five profiles can normally be combined in one 40HQ container. We will calculate the pieces, linear feet and estimated weight before confirming the loading plan.
Standard lead time is approximately 45 days after order confirmation.The final schedule will only be decided after we have the composition of the profiles, the amount, the tools used, and the available production time.
We can provide the standard products samples free of charge as long as the stock permits. The courier costs and the time of preparation should be negotiated before the items are dispatched.

Cutting:Use fine-tooth carbide blades (60+ teeth) for clean cuts.The edges should be cut and primed or sealed before installation to reduce moisture absorption.
Fastening:Use 16-gauge finishing nails or 18-gauge brad nails. Drill holes near the edges to avoid splitting the panels.
Adhesive: Construction adhesive (polyurethane-based) may be applied along with the mechanical attachment method in high-moisture environments.
Topcoat: After installation, lightly sand the filled nail holes and joints, and apply one coat of finish. For optimal results, high quality acrylic latex or alkyd paint is suggested.
